David Benedek, the founder of the brand, who participated in the event, answered OLAY's questions.

He spoke about the origin of his passion for perfumery:

"My grandmother had a house in Paris. He grew a lot of flowers in a glass dam. The scent of flowers in spring is still in my nose. My grandparents moved to Paris in 1950, where they opened a perfume shop. That's where my love for perfume came from. My grandmother was my best friend. There were many perfumes in her room. I shared everything with him. I told him that I love perfumes, I am very attracted to them. It was my grandmother who motivated me. No other person has inspired me."

Talking about his favorite aspects of perfumery, David said these thoughts about his favorite perfumes:

Just as an artist creates a beautiful work by playing with colors, so is the perfumery industry. We have no restrictions. There are various raw materials, using them you can get a beautiful result in the end. We are very free! My favorite perfume is "Bouquet de Hongrie", which reminds me of my grandmother. Once I was back in Romania. There were many houses and greenery. I created that perfume inspired by that. I used very delicate and delicate flowers.

Another perfume I like is called Gris Charnel. There I have shown the sensibility of Paris. More wood elements were used in those perfumes. This is my favorite perfume.

I usually combine my perfumes in collections. Because there is a lot of attachment to Paris here, I create more perfumes that characterize the Parisians and the city.

Benedek said that he breathed new life into the world of perfumery:

"I started producing perfumes that appeal to the hearts of young people, it was a new breath. Although they recognize our brand, we are still considered young. We have giants and competitors around us. It is our difficulty to be recognized and stand out among them."

The owner of BDK spoke about the most important quality of being a high-end brand:

"To be a high-end brand, you have to have an honest approach. When you create something, you have to have a good reason. And my reason is that I want to provide the best quality. I use high quality raw materials. I go to far places for this. The second issue is beyond your control." Finally, David said to those who want to become a perfumer, "Don't get discouraged when something doesn't work out. If they love their work, one day all the doors will open for them," he said.
